On Sunday 23rd September 2012 the Visitatori Volontari Italiani VVI held a Fund Raising Bridge Drive at the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrave Square, kindly made available by the Institute Director dr Carlo Presenti. 54 players took part to the event mostly from the international bridge playing Community. Donations were received by private   individuals and by two Italian firms, Nife is Life and Fratelli La Bufala. Outstanding technical support was provided by the Royal Automobile Club (not to be confused with the homonymous motoring rescue operation!). The VVI is a charitable organization who assists Italian nationals in vulnerable and stressful situations offering a free service of visitors, mentors, interpreters as well as the services of a psychotherapist. It operates under the patronage of the Italian Consul General and   in full cooperation with the Consulate General in London. Due to the global economic crisis no longer it receives funding from the Italian Government. For the next fund raising event, WATCH THIS SPACE!
